Mark has over 25 years experience in the sport, recreation, and leisure industry with a portfolio of experience gained in the United Kingdom, the USA, South Africa and Australia with much of this time spent in Local Government.

Under a current contractual arrangement with Parks and Leisure Australia (PLA) One Eighty administers the national operations for the professional peak body of over 1800 members across Australia which mainly comprise Local Government Authorities and professionals that work in the Parks and Leisure sector. As part of this agreement Mark was appointed Chief Executive Officer and has the responsibility of coordinating each State and Regions activities as well as representing and advocating on behalf of the industry as a whole to Government and partners both here in Australia and overseas.

Mark also has significant experience in commercial leisure developments having been responsible for the open space and recreation aspects of the $1.5b Economic Development Project in SA and more recently contracted to the SA’s largest residential development where he was responsible for the development of open space and recreation needs and structure planning for a planned community of 65,000 people.

Given his experience Mark is well versed in the political climate for sport and recreation and has developed many plans, policies, and management agreements for community sport and recreation including needs analysis, feasibilities, precinct master plans, open space strategies, recreation policies and memorandums of understanding.


Jeff has almost 35 years experience in the sport development area having developed extensive networks and expertise through a career as a sports administrator and educator. He has worked on projects and programme development at international, national, state and local level including work with all levels of government and sporting organisations from national through to local community.

Jeff has gained considerable experience and knowledge from many years in sport administration and development through work with the Australian Sports Commission, the SA Office of Recreation and Sport and various State and national sporting organisations. He also has had broad representation as a volunteer on industry Boards and working parties such as Hockey SA, Sport SA and the previous Chair of the South Australian Ministers Physical Activity Council.

He has provided consultancy services to many national and state sporting organisations and recreation agencies as well as being a community presenter to work with state sporting organisations and within the education sector on sport and physical activity issues with a particular focus on matters relating to volunteer issues within the industry.

Jeff’s unparalleled knowledge of the sports sector will assist the team and he will assist on matters relating to sports infrastructure and development including growth, trends and precinct planning.


Brett has almost 20 years of experience within South Australia and Queensland working the majority of his career within local government. In this time, he has developed a remarkable skill set particularly in the fields of recreation and open space planning, strategic planning, community development and major residential development work. Working at a managerial level for the past 15 years, Brett’s knowledge of all project facets is a valuable asset.

Whilst working for local Government, Brett has achieved numerous goals in supporting the local community with high quality social and recreational amenities. Brett has project managed a range of significant developments for recreation and open space in several major open space developments to include park and reserves design and management for a number of major urban renewal projects.

Brett’s vast knowledge of the sport and recreation sector is enhanced by his involvement in the industry where he sits on a number of boards and committees. In addition to this strategic level, Brett also participates at a local sporting level. This mix of skills greatly assists the team on matters which relate to recreation and open space, and strategic, residential and precinct planning.


Lina joined One Eighty in 2012 as Office Manager. Lina has an Associate Diploma of Business (Office Administration) and over 25 years of experience in office and business management including State Government roles in Office Management, Senior Project Officer Positions and web re-development.
